I don't say this enough, but the comments section here is honestly one of my favorite parts of doing this. Reading what actually lands with people changes how I write the next piece — every time.
"The way you write tension before anything even happens is unfair." — a comment I've reread more times than I'll admit.
A few things that stood out this month:
- More of you want longer build-ups before the main event — noted, and happening
- The first-person POV stories are the clear favorite so far
Third-person experiment— tried it once, the comments made it very clear that's not what people are here for
