Between the gossip and the questioning, she works her way down a list of malfunctioning network nodes — "that's one down, four to go" — rewarding herself with her partner Hayward after each fix and waving it off as a scheduled "synergy day." The ship's systems log the whole thing like a performance review, orgasm-completion percentage included, until Hayward drags his feet on the actual repair work and gets slapped and thrown out of her quarters for it.
